St Mary's Church Wartling
St Mary's Church, Wartling, Sussex.
The Church is located on Wartling Hill (in the village) and there is parking behind The Lamb Inn (do not park in the pub car park!).
The Church has 13th Century roots, although not a lot remains from this time. The Belfry (West end) was added in the 14th Century, a little later that century was added the North Aisle.
Of the small South Aisle, this appears to have been added late in the 14th century but this seems to have been made smaller by the 15th Century.
Further changes had taken place in the 16th, 17th and 19th Century, rendering this church difficult to decipher age wise
