Shoreham Airport

Shoreham (or Brighton City) Aiport, is the oldest commercial airport in the UK.
The buildings on site have emerged since the 1930's
It's design is Art Deco, specifically a design known as Streamline Moderne.
The architect was Stavers Hessel Tiltman (1888-1968).

Built in 1943, the Gunnery Trainer is located to the North of Shoreham Airport, just by the A27.
There are only six of these remaining in the UK, so this is a rare sight.
The trainer has been heavily damaged/vandalised over the years and is now in poor condition.
Watch this space for my visit to a restored trainer....coming soon
